Metallic transferring foil (without thermal-adhesive)

Description

Metallic transferring foils of great range of colors, without thermal-adhesive, for hot transferring on: PU/PVC textile, leathers etc.

Technical characteristics

Roll of 500 mt – thickness 16 micron – width 1500 mm
Roll of 1000 mt – thickness 16 micron – width 1600 mm

The metallic foil are made from PET as base materials, PU resin as main structure (the film transferred).
They have a good elasticity and abrasion resistance

Application

The foil is applied by hot pressing.
The support to be coupled for example: leather or PU requires a pretreatment with special polyurethane resins that allow the coupling of the foil.

Working conditions

Resistance of the film to hot: 140° C/ 1 min (hot oven).
Transferring temperature: 110-130° C for PVC and PU. The pressure is about 10-20 Kg when the transfer foil is laminated to the support.

  1. Different type of PVC, PU, leather or different processing machinery affect on the selection of temperature and speed.
  2. The natural leather and PU must be pre-treated with with specific products (es. UK-813 and UL-502) to avoid surface defects and to obtain improvements in adhesion.
  3. ET release (protection film):
    for a machine with good cooling effects, PET can be released after lamination. If the cooling effect is lower, it is advisable to wait for at least 24 hours before to detach PET.
  4. Since the machinery and methods differ from customer to customer, the above observations are for reference only.
  5. The user must verify the suitability of the product and its method of application by performing laboratory tests before ordering the product.

Metallic transferring foils of great range of colors, with thermal-adhesive, for hot transferring, to couple on: PU/PVC textile, leathers etc.

Roll of 500 mt – thickness 16 micron – widht 1500 mm
Roll of 1000 mt – thickness 16 micron – width 1600 mm.

The metallic foil are made from PET as base materials, PU resin as main structure (the film transferred). They have a good elasticity and abrasion resistance.

Application

The foil is applied by hot pressing.
Used on PU and PVC is supplied ready to be applied with thermal--adhesive sufficient to be coupled on the support.
Used on irregular materials (eg: leather) or surfaces that absorb a lot, we recommend pre-treating the material with a special polyurethane resin so you can get a good coupling of the foil with the material to be laminated.
